All the battery products are regulated to mark manufacture date or expiry date on the packages, otherwise could be treated as inferior products. At present, most battery products are marked with expiry date instead of manufacture date, for example: “02-2010” means the expiry date of the battery is February 2010. Consumers could calculate the approximate manufacture time of the battery from the expiry date, since usually:
(1) shelf life of alkaline battery is 3~5 years; CHANGHONG battery could maintain 7 years.
(2) shelf life of super heavy duty battery (type P) is 2 years;
(3) shelf life of conventional carbon battery (type S) is 1 year;
(4) foreign (alkaline) battery often mark a shelf life 1~2 years more than that of the domestic ones.
